As social organisms, laughter constitute a part of human behaviour and this helps us
to clarify our intentions during interaction and also provide an emotional context to
conversations.
Laughter serves as a sign of being part of a group,a sign of acceptance and a sign of positive
interaction with others.
A researcher Robert Provine said "Laughter is a mechanism for everyone; laughter is part of
universal human vocabulary; Everyone speaks laughter in pretty much the same way".
Robert argued that laughter may even be genetic using the study of "Giggle Twins".
According the study, two happy twins were separated after birth and after 43years were reunited by their adopted parents. "He reported that until they met neither of these happy ladies had known anyone who laughed as much as they did". Further, their adoptive parents were indicated as demonstrative and dour. Therefore, Robert believes the readiness to laugh and maybe even taste in humor maybe inherited.
In my opinion whether laughter is genetic or not, everyone needs laughter at a point in time in his or her life. If you are dull, sad, feeling any pain, stressed, then your only remedy is LAUGHTER.
1.Laughter relaxes your whole body.
2.It boosts your immune system thus increasing your resistance to diseases.
3.It protects your heart, thus improves the function of blood vessel and increase blood
flow helping you against any heart attack or cardiovascular issues.
4.It serves as a form of energy booster, meaning it gives you energy enabling you to focus
and accomplish a lot.
5.It helps you to bond with others, thus helps you to interact easily with different people.
6.It is also powerful antidote to stress, pain and conflict.
"Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful tools you have to make certain that your
daily mood and emotional state support good health"......Paul E. McGhee, PhD.
